I've been sewing away again on an array of 1830s-style dresses for kids. These are headed to the Schenectady County Historical Society for CanalFest on July 14th and 15th. Designed to fit children approximately ages 8-13, they have plenty of drawstrings, a little elastic, and open backs that close with ties to make playing dress-up easy. The patterns are adapted from the 1838 "Workwoman's Guide."

This dress is the first one I've finished. The others are including some fancier pouffy sleeves.
