Welcome to my blog. I'm a part-time seamstress and a full-time museum educator with a raging case of obsession for all things revolving around historic costume. You can find my Esty shop at SkyeLine Designs, but this blog will be devoted to any interesting projects (be they for sale or not), research, or just my own musings on what works and what doesn't. It is intended for seamstresses, shoppers for unusual clothing items, and other costume junkies.
So my goal is to get up a blog entry about once a week. Common sense tells me this should be possible. I've been keeping a blog on Myspace for a couple years, and my first task will be to copy some of the best of those entries over here.
Thanks for poking your nose over here. If you too are tempted by pretty costume-y things, I hope you will return.
I have been sewing one thing or another for most of my life. In 2004 I began producing corsets and Renaissance Faire costumes for sale. Since then, I have expanded to produce and sell clothes that are inspired by 50s pinups, the Victorian Era, historic undies, and lots more. I am a bit capricious, and the time periods may wander with whatever has gotten my attention today.
